Water Warning in Hawaii

Residents Urged not to drink tap water

 POSTED: 5:06 pm HST November 1, 2006 -- HONOLULU -The Department of Health issued a brown water advisory because of heavy rains around the state. Floodwaters may contain pollutants from overflowing sewer manholes, septic systems, herbicide/pesticide debris and animal droppings, health officials said. They advised the public to stay out of coastal waters impacted by the storm runoff for several days until conditions clear.

Water Purification!
Be prepared for events like this.  Make sure you have a reserve of purified water!  Fill up water bottles, jugs, empty milk containers or anything you can find and store them for crisis like this!  The people of Hawaii are now left without clean water for "several days" possibly.  What if this were to happen and it was projected there would be no clean tap water for WEEKS!?  The fact is that EVERYONE should have the  benefit of CLEAN, HEALTHY flowing water.
