That is why we tell people that even if they do not purchase a water filter from us they should still get one and USE IT! You can never have 100% trust in your public water supply! When you filter it yourself you get the peace of mind (and clarity, taste etc) knowing that the water is clean!

Our government has failed America miserably by promoting a known toxin for over 60 years. I know this first hand from the fluoride hell my horses and dogs were put through. We have now lost 8 horses and 4 dogs. Fluoride consumption was scientifically proven to be the cause of death by Dr. Lennart Krook, DVM, PhD, Cornell University, well known as the world’s authority on chronic fluoride poisoning in animals. Because of this science, fluoridation was ceased in our town and the health of animals and people, city wide, has improved without the increase of cavities. And this isn’t just an animal problem, this is a problem of everything consuming this cumulative toxin, with some being more suceptible, as the article above reveals. I did a web search and seems to be fine now. Most of the water warning updates are temporary and we do not always have the time to update each story to let people know when the problem has been fixed or is still continuing! We completely agree with you. It is not only a matter of the fact that fluoride is dangerous but how they force it upon the population. It’s absolute control and takes away your freedom of choice.

Fluoride is a waste by-product. Why don’t people realize that just because it helps prevent tooth decay that, when injested, is poisonous. And our corporations and “concerned citizens” are not willing to see that it is a poison.

JM says that I worry about the need for these chemicals and if there is an application adjustment so as to limit runoff into the watershed, and over saturation into the soils where the water can carry it down through the layers into the lakes and rivers underground. Just how much time will pass before we undo our entire inherited ecodesign? Short answer, buy a filter from Air and Aqua, drink safe while figuring out the bigger problem,can anyone comment on this?

Fluoride is a *topical* agent that kills germs on contact and it was never meant to be ingested. It’s basically similar to swallowing Neosporin.

It’s very easy for everyone to dismiss anti-fluoridation as the movement of crackpots. To all of you I say this: You are asking the wrong question. The question is not whether or not water fluoridation is good for you. The question is why any municipality would medicate the water supply without
your consent. Why not dump multivitamins into the water? Vitamins are also good for you right? The answer is obvious. Just because you may get all of your vitamins from one source doesn’t mean your neighbor does. Wise up people. We personally don’t really care about the ‘why’. We just want it stopped! Join us in the growing movement.

Having been at the hearing myself, I think this article is very misleading as to what the prioritization means, and more importantly, doesn’t mean. The committee chairman stated several times that just because the committee members recommended a ‘high’ priority for any chemical, that in no way indicated it has the potential to be carcinogenic. In fact, when he spoke about fluoride he said that it has “an important widespread exposure” to people of California. I am also curious why you linked to the one public comment on the issue and not all of the comments submitted to the committee, including those from pro-fluoride people?
